Y’all I cannot stress enough the importance of choosing the right place of birth + birth team for YOU. Providers who make you feel confident and supported and discuss the risks/benefits of every decision with you, through the lens of what makes YOU feel good, not just blanket recommendations or “this is how we do things.” These providers DO exist! 🦄

Breastfeeding can be hard. It can come with hurdles (I’ve had them!) and certainly sacrifices of time, sleep, and autonomy. But it can also be full of joy and pride and snuggles galore. 🤍 Whether you’ve breastfed for a day, a year, or a decade, you’re a badass in my eyes 😘

We’re so excited that Mama is fully booked for 2024 births (and Jan 2025!) and off-call for the next month! And maybe also a little excited about our cookies. 🥰 Bring on the late-summer and fall bébés…after some serious tech detox and fam time, of course. ☺️✌🏼

It’s wild how having birthed a human twice before and having witnessed more than 70 other births, this one still threw me for a loop. My third birth story is *finally* up on the blog! Please excuse any errors, as this was largely written in the middle of the night during those early postpartum weeks. 🙃🤍

She’s hereeeee! 🤍🫶🏼 Sweet baby S was born safely at home with the best birth team, @philadelphiamidwives. I cannot say enough about their quality of care and compassion- makin ya girl wanna have a few more just to do it again. 🙃

2023, you were good to me and lots of sweet families! From a record number of VBACs to a new biggest babe record (and I think the most surprise babies I’ve ever supported!), it was a year for the books. I can’t say it enough- THANK YOU from the bottom of my heart for choosing me as your doula, recommending me to your friends and family, and overall being the best fams ever. Love you all! 🫶🏼

Ahhh the magic of the “aquadural” 💧✨ We LOVE a good bath or shower moment to ease the intensity of contractions, especially during transition. Partner pro tip: grab a cup and pour warm water down the back for extra soothing goodness.

This badass mama coped BEAUTIFULLY through several days of back labor until finally settling into the tub for those last couple centimeters of dilation. Birth is *almost* never easy, and witnessing the power and strength of moms like this never ceases to amaze me. @emilyfobben you are incredible and should feel damn proud of yourself- thank you for inviting me into your birth space! 🫶🏼

ALL THE FEELS when you finally get to meet your daughter/niece for the first time. 🥹 I’ve never met a mama more prepared for birth and motherhood! She took the classes, did the research, and lined up a top-notch birth team 💁🏻‍♀️ and postpartum support so she was ready to start momming with CONFIDENCE from day one (and has even taken her babe internationally already- WHAT?! 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼). Talk about mom goals! @bbbeccaboo your sweet baby girl could not be luckier! Thank you for letting me be a part of your story. 🤍
